What Reelscamp collects, why, and what we do not do with it.
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Who we are
Reelscamp is operated by Datastack LLC (1900 E Golf Road Suite 950, Schaumburg, IL 60173). We are the controller of the personal data described here. For anything in this policy, contact privacy@reelscamp.com.
What we collect
Only what the marketplace needs to work:
- Account details: your email address, first and last name, and whether the account is a creator or a business. Passwords are never stored; we keep only an Argon2id hash, which cannot be reversed into your password.
- Profile details you enter: creators: display name, biography, location, starting rate, availability, social profile links and any follower counts you type in. Businesses: company name, website, industry and description. All of it is self-reported and you can edit or remove it at any time.
- How you get paid: if you are a creator, the payment details you choose to add, such as a PayPal address or a Venmo handle. Only businesses you are working with can see them; they are never shown on your public profile.
- Content you upload: portfolio images and video, campaign deliverables, messages you send inside a collaboration, and reviews you write.
- Marketplace activity: a record of actions such as publishing a campaign, sending an invitation, accepting it, submitting a deliverable and completing a collaboration. We use this to operate the marketplace and to improve how creators are ranked.
- Notification tokens: if you allow notifications in the Reelscamp mobile app, a push token that lets us address your device. It is used only to send you Reelscamp notifications, which never contain message text, and it is deleted when you sign out or delete your account.
- Technical logs: request method, path, response status, duration and your account identifier once signed in. Your IP address is used momentarily to rate-limit sign-in attempts and is not written to our database.
What we do not collect
- No card or bank details. Reelscamp does not process payments between businesses and creators. We never see or store card numbers, bank accounts or tax identifiers. Businesses pay creators directly, using the details the creator chose to share, and we record only that the two of you said it happened.
- No advertising or analytics trackers. There are no third-party advertising pixels, no cross-site tracking and no data brokers. The only cookies we set are the ones that keep you signed in, and the mobile app contains no analytics or advertising code.
- No special-category data. We do not ask for, infer or store data about health, religion, ethnicity, political views, sexual orientation or any other sensitive characteristic.
How AI is used
Reelscamp uses a third-party AI provider for three things: turning a creator's own profile text into a structured content profile, turning a business's campaign brief into structured requirements, and writing the short explanation shown beside a recommendation. Your profile text and campaign briefs are sent to that provider to do this.
We also generate embeddings (numerical representations of that text) and store them so campaigns can be matched to creators. Rankings themselves are computed by our own code from explainable factors; the AI does not decide your score.
Limits we hold ourselves to:
- AI-inferred attributes are labelled as inferred, never presented as verified fact.
- We never fabricate follower counts, engagement rates or audience demographics. Anything numeric about your audience is what you typed in.
- We do not perform facial recognition on uploaded media, and we do not infer sensitive personal traits.
- Match scores describe fit with a campaign brief. They are not a prediction of sales, views or campaign performance.
Who can see your information
- Other marketplace users. Creator profiles, content profiles, portfolio items and reviews are visible to businesses using the platform. That is the point of listing. Businesses' public details and reviews are visible to creators. Messages and deliverables inside a collaboration are visible only to the two parties in it.
- Service providers that run the platform on our behalf: our hosting and database provider, our object-storage provider for uploaded media, our AI provider, our transactional email provider, and Expo, which relays mobile notifications to Apple and Google. They may process your data only to provide those services to us.
- Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or share your personal data for anyone else's marketing.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to investigate fraud, abuse or a threat to someone's safety.
Where your data is held
Our infrastructure providers may store and process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
How long we keep it
Account and profile data is kept while your account exists. Records of completed collaborations, reviews and marketplace activity are kept afterwards, because they are part of the other party's history as well as yours: a business's payment reliability and a creator's track record are built from them. When we no longer need a record tied to you, we delete it or disconnect it from your identity.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to a data protection authority.
Most of this you can do yourself: your profile, social links and portfolio are editable from your account at any time, and you can delete your account from your account settings on the web or the Profile tab in the mobile app. For access or export, or if you would rather we deleted it for you, email privacy@reelscamp.com and we will action it within 30 days. Deleting an account removes your name, profile, uploads and payment details and signs out every device; it does not erase the other party's record of a collaboration you completed with them.
Security
Passwords are hashed with Argon2id. Session tokens are held in HTTP-only cookies, which scripts on the page cannot read, and in the mobile app in the device's secure keychain. They are only ever transmitted over HTTPS. Changing your password signs out every existing session. Access to production data is limited to people who need it.
No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.
Children
Reelscamp is not for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from them, and we delete such accounts when we find them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for material changes we will tell you by email or in the product before they take effect.
